Akram’s journey started in Yemen, where he graduated from Sana’a University as a dentist before moving to Japan in 2013 to chase a bigger dream—research. While working toward his Ph.D. in stem cells and bioengineering, which he completed in 2018, he found himself fascinated not only by science but also by how stories could bring science to life. That curiosity led him into the world of science communication and digital content creation.
These days, Akram works as a scientific communicator, using his background as a dentist and researcher to make complex topics easier to understand and more exciting to explore. He also hosts two podcasts: The ScienDist – Career Thoughts Over Coffee, where he sits down with people from different walks of life to talk about their careers and personal journeys, and All Pulp No Fiction Dental Podcast, where he interviews some of the world’s top dental experts about their research, clinical insights, and the experiences that shaped them.
Outside the lab and recording studio, Akram channels his creativity through photography—specializing in night and cyberpunk scenes that capture the hidden beauty of urban life. Blending art, science, and storytelling, he’s constantly exploring new ways to connect people with ideas that inspire curiosity and wonder.
